League Rules
· Week league which breaks down to the first 5 weeks regular games, and final week Championship.
· Games will be played 30 Minutes total or the first team to score 30pts.
· Teams will play a total of 10 regular season games.
· The top 6 teams with the best regular season records will advance to playoff.
The Game
· The playing field measures 25x64 yards.
· Boundary lines are OUT OF BOUNDS.
· A coin toss determines initial possession.
· Halves are 15 minutes long.
· Halftime is 30 seconds long
· Possession alternates at the half
· "Pro Clock" (stopping on out of bounds and incomplete passes) will go into effect in the last minute of the game
· Mercy rule comes into effect at 30 points. No extra point tries will be attempted after a team has a 30 points.
· Playoff or single elimination games will go to an extra point shootout.
Overtime
· Overtime consists of SUDDEN DEATH, extra point shootout will determine the game.
· Coin toss will be done before to determine who gets ball or gets to defer first.
· Each team will have the option to go for a one-point conversion (5 yards) or a two-point conversion (10-yards). The team who has the most points at the end of the overtime round will be declared the winner.
· Interceptions may be returned for one or two-points.
· If each team has attempted a conversion and the score is still tied, the team which went on offense 1st in the previous round will start out on defense in the next round, and vice-versa. This will continue until a winner is declared.
Rosters
· Rosters will consist of no more than eight players
· Teams must have a minimum of four players on their roster
· After the tournament has started, and a roster has been declared, rosters can not be changed after deadline date ( which will be determined in the season )
· Players that are on other Teams, CAN NOT be added to another Team’s roster.
Offense
· Except for after an interception, possessions start on the five yard line.
· Teams have three downs in which to advance the ball past mid-field.
· After achieving a first down, teams have three downs to score a touchdown
· The center must be on the line of scrimmage at the start of the play, and must snap the ball between his legs
· Players must be over the line of scrimmage in order to receive a pass.
· One foot down in bounds with possession of the ball constitutes a reception.
· The QB has seven seconds in which to pass the ball. Failure to pass the ball in seven seconds will result in a loss of down.
· The offense can run the ball if the QB hands it off to a player in the backfield. The player receiving the hand-off has the option to pass until he crosses the line of scrimmage. MUST BE DIRECT HANDOFF ( no pitch back )
· The seven-second clock is not in effect after a hand-off.
· The ball will be spotted at the point where the player's hips were when his flag was pulled, unless the player is running backwards, in which case it will be spotted at the point of the ball.
Defense
· Any defensive player can rush the quarterback as long as they start seven yards back from the line of scrimmage. The referee will provide the seven yard spot before each play.
· Any defensive player can rush immediately AFTER a hand-off occurs.
· No contact is allowed
· Interceptions can be returned by the defense
· A safety (offensive player downed in own end zone, or penalized in own end zone) will result in two points for the defense, and a change of possession.
Penalties
General:
· Fighting: Immediate Ejection and a 15 yard penalty.
· Taunting: Fifteen Yard Penalty. Expulsion a possibility for multiple repeat offenders
· Unsportsmanlike Conduct/Referee Abuse: Fifteen Yard Penalty. One warning followed by expulsion from game
Offense:
· Illegal Snap: Five yards, loss of down
· Illegal Motion: Five yards, loss of down
· False Start: Five yards, loss of down
· Impeding Rusher: Five yards, loss of down
· Blocking Downfield: Five yards (L.O.S.), loss of down
· Illegal Pick: Five yards (L.O.S.), loss of down
· Flag Guarding: Five yards from the spot of infraction, loss of down
· Lowering Head/Shoulder: Five yards (L.O.S.), loss of down
· Pass Interference: Five yards (L.O.S.), loss of down
· Illegal Forward Pass: Five yards (L.O.S.), loss of down
· Illegal Hand-off/Pitch: Five yards (L.O.S.), loss of down
· Illegal Run: Five yards (L.O.S.), loss of down
· Delay of Game: Five yards (L.O.S), loss of down
Defense:
· Off-sides: Five Yards, repeat down
· Illegal Rush: Five Yards, automatic first down
· Illegal Contact: Five Yards, automatic first down
· Holding: Five Yards from end of play, automatic first down
· Illegal Flag Pull: Five yards from L.O.S., automatic first down
· Pass Interference, Minor: Five yards from L.O.S., automatic first down
· Pass Interference, Major: Spot Foul, automatic first down
· Rouging the QB, Minor: Five yards, automatic first down
· Roughing the QB, Major: Fifteen yards, automatic first down
· Delay of Game: Five yards, repeat down
· Illegal Push: Five yards (L.O.S.), automatic first down
· “Last Man Rule”- If defender commits blatant hold or penalty with receiver ahead of the defense, touchdown will be given to offense. This will be determined by Referee’s call.
· Rusher is allowed to jump and block QB’s pass , but will be penalized if contact occurs with QB.
